One island, one bay – all riding conditions

Keros beach has variety of conditions suitable for every person. Flat water in the North part of the beach, which is perfect for both windsurfing and kitesurfing freeriding, also shallow water which help kitesurfing lessons to get in progress, one-meter waves in the South side which is great for windsurfing bump and jump in stronger days or srarting your kitesurfing wave riding and 2.5-meter waves at the exit point of the bay.

We’ve spent many years on Limnos and we’ve never met a windsurfer or a kitesurfer who did not find the right conditions for their style.

  • North side

Keros beach is sandy, without any rocks or see-urchins. The shallow water is around 200 – 300 meters in. Siroko Wind Club is situated right there, at the heartbof the bay. If you decide to ride in front of the school you have 1.5km flat water with some small waves further out from beach. The are for kitesurfing lessons is the best in the bay and the area in front of Siroko wind club is suitable for absolutely any kind of windsurfing lessons from begginer lessons to any freestyle move learning. About 300 m north from the station you can enjoy totally flat water that allows you to practice some freestyle moves or just speed up.
At the exit point of the bay, you are going to find some perfect kickers for jumping.

  • South side

The wave spot is situated in the South point of Keros bay. The conditions are perfect almost every morning until 11 am. The waves are approximately 1 meter high with slightly side-onshore direction. Suitable for jumping and practicing any moves in the air, or your first touch to kiteboarding  wave-board.  With windsurf can jump easily around 2.5 m to 3 m high. The entire spot is shallow and totally safe. Most of our clients reach the place by going downwind from our station. There is a small kantina for drinks and small snacks. Advanced windsurfing and kitesurfing lessons could be done in the area.

Wind

The standard wind on Keros beach is North-East, side offshore and is usually strongest until approximately 1-2PM. In the late afternoon, the wind turns from the North and goes down to 4 Beaufort. The average wind strength is about 4-6 Beaufort. Around 4-5PM we have the optimum conditions for beginners.
